SCHOOL OF SÖDERHÖJDEN

 

 

A new school in Järfälla, North of Stockholm, after a competition win. 

A basic idea consisting of two volumes of wood, one high and one low, creates both organized and complex relationships between paths and places in the surrounding park, as well as between the schoolyard and the interior rooms.

 

In the project, both design programs and documentation for the development plan were produced. The connection to the area is imprinted by the sense of security that is implemented on the site, urban planning that preserves the existing natural values and social sustainability.
