GYMNASIUM IN SÖDERTÄLJE

 

 

Gymnasium in Södertälje with room for 64 students. Our aim with the project was to design a representative building, on a plot with complex conditions regarding both the terrain and the surrounding buildings. 

 

The building is designed with large windows that from a higher ground provide a view down into the gymnasium and create lines of sight through the building. The exterior is reinforced by a pattern of white bricks casted into the concrete and gives the facade both an organized and playful expression. 

 

The site planning and landscape design creates an accessible and bright space between the buildings and strengthen the sensitive connection between the time typical buildings and our modern addition.
